In a continued strong 2022 with several new strategically important contracts, Clear Channel Scandinavia welcomes new names and positions to the Scandinavian management team. Branka Solar assumes the role as Scandinavian Chief Development & Construction Officer, whilst Claes Kugelberg is appointed as the company's Deputy Chief Executive Officer.
Clear Channel has a proud tradition of partnering up with Pride and this year we are delighted to announce our partnership with West Pride that takes place this week. West Pride is a cultural festival in Gothenburg that is free for everyone to visit. The festival highlights criticism of norms and the life situation of LGBTQ people and creates a safe meeting place for LGBTQ people through art and culture.
Clear Channel has a proud tradition of partnering up with Pride, and this year we are delighted to announce our Scandinavian partnership with Oslo Pride, Stockholm Pride, Copenhagen Pride and West Pride.
We are beyond excited to share our powerful platform with the world-known superstar Zara Larsson, as she is releasing her new album Postergirl today the 5th of March! With outstanding exposure, all over Scandinavia, this campaign is coloring the streets, malls and metro stations reaching out to Zaras fans at premium sites in Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
We are proud to be able to offer Scandinavia’s largest platform for brands that want to reach out and engage people in places where they live, travel and move on a daily basis. But we are not content with that. With great opportunities to reach out, we also have a responsibility to make a difference, and therefore we have a clear vision that our presence in the cities shall contribute to nicer, more dynamic and sustainable environments. Right now we use our platform to show our support to the Ukrainian people by donating media space to humanitarian aid organizations that work hard as a result of the invasion in Ukraine.
Brands that maintain, or even increase, their marketing in times of crisis more often come out stronger on the other side. This is shown by several studies. At the same time, we also know that brands that invest in creative outdoor campaigns are perceived as market leaders and are remembered by consumers (OCS Sweden, 2019). Maybe that's why we invested in creative campaigns in 2020 - a trend that we believe is here to stay.
Clear Channel is preparing for the future and is reducing the number of Scandinavian management positions to become more agile and distinct. The current European Development Director Claes Kugelberg is returning home to take on a newly established role as Scandinavian Chief Commercial Officer. Kugelberg will be responsible for the development of customer relationships and the overall communication and positioning work. The role is part of the Scandinavian management team and Kugelberg reports to the Scandinavian CEO, Henriette Zeuchner.
